Hey everyone,
The songs of Jennifer Gasoi have been a fixture in our household and in our car for over a decade. They are melodic, complex earworms that can give you a mile-long smile or bring tears to your eyes. Or both.
They came into our life when our daughter was born. She just turned 12 and they are still on rotation in her lift of favs.
And Jennifer is coming on the show this Friday at 12:30pm eastern. :)
So, I thought I’d share a few fun tidbits about her, to whet your appetite:
She was the first (and I think only) Canadian to win a Grammy for Best Children’s Album (introduced by Cyndi Lauper!). Throw a Penny in the Wishing Well is not only my favorite children’s album, but one of my favorite albums of all time.
About a year ago her Facebook account was hacked, Facebook shut it down, she wrote a song about it, and that song helped get Facebook to turn it back on.
She loves latkes (who doesn’t? Happy Hanukkah!)
